Aidan Palmer wins Bronze in Freestyle Poomsae at French Open!

On 21st January Aidan Palmer represented GB at the French Open in Lille in the U17 Individual Freestyle category.
The freestyle category was the last event of the day, therefore Aidan had a long wait to perform.  However he enjoyed watching the poomsae competition and  having time to warm up on the mats.
At 12 years old Aidan was the youngest in his category and he was competing against competitors from various countries including Spain, Morocco, Denmark and France!
Aidan was 7th to perform in his category. He was nervous, this being his first International competition, but he kept his composure & performed his routine with confidence!
Aidan was very pleased with his score and knew he was currently just in the medal positions. Aidan eagerly watched the final competitors, knowing their score could make a difference to his final position.
To Aidan’s amazement & delight he stayed in his position and managed to secure a bronze medal!
Well done Aidan!!
