CLASSES

Similar to the classes for our younger students these classes focus on agility and flexibility; but also strength and speed. The classes are more structured and disciplined than the classes for the younger age groups. Participants are encouraged to identify their own areas for development, and set their own goals. We want our students to be the best they can be. There is an optional grading / belts test with the possibility of progressing to Black Belt and beyond. Those that enjoy challenges, and don’t mind some additional hard work and training, can try our Pathway Development classes, and can test themselves in Sparring Classes / Competition, Patterns Competitions, or progress to our Demonstration team.

Benefits of Taekwondo

Noticeable Improvement in balance, agility, and coordination.

Development of spatial awareness, distance, and timing.

Exercises to improve both static strength and dynamic flexibility.

Parent and children regularly mention to us how lifeskills such as team working, coping with stress, and building resilience, are indirectly acquired through our classes.

Participants learn new skills and confidence enabling them to progress to competition if they want, and upwards into the junior and adult (13+) classes.

My son (Sam age 10) has progressed to blue belt with the club. The club is friendly and safe and he trains sometime 5 classes a week. It great at keeping him off his X-Box. He loves the sparring pathway classes and has competed in competition. He has been invited to train at development camps with the GB Olympic Taekwondo Team.
My younger son is starting the Kickstars class as soon as there is space available.
