Lesson Fees & Membership

Dorset Taekwondo Association is proud to say that it is as a not-for-profit organisation. The coaching staff are volunteers, and after expenses, the profits are put back into the club. As a result our lesson fees are significantly lower than many other clubs and sports locally.

The same as starting any new sport, there are a few costs involved, but once you have got started the costs are relatively low.

Classes are paid for monthly by bank transfer. The pay-as-you-go option is difficult for the club to manage, and more expensive when you train regularly.

To simplify the monthly payment process the club now uses an online app (GoCardless) on which you complete your details and set up the payment.

(The below does not apply to the Kickstars class for 5-7 year olds – they continue to be paid for termly)

Before selecting your option I urge you to consider your goals and aspirations in Taekwondo. Nearly everyone who joins the club wants to achieve a Black Belt. Please ask yourself if you can do this by training once a week? Over the years it has become obvious that it is is not really feasible to achieve a Black Belt / your goals by training once a week.

Unlimited options currently give you access to 7 classes per per week.

This pricing structure is based on classes running 47 weeks a year. Some of our students are training four or five classes a week – this equates to £2.15 per class.
