Refunds during closure period

RE: Training fees & Refunds

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your patience and understanding during these difficult times. A few people have contact me regarding their monthly training fees, grading tests fees and competition fees.

Dorset Taekwondo is a not-for-profit organisation and all the coaches and committee are volunteers who give their time and energy for free.

Not all of our venues have been in contact regarding refunding where we have paid in advance, and I expect the club will still have some bills to pay. However, please be assured that all monies paid in advance will be refunded to you. Over 90% of the club pay by monthly standing order so this is quite an administrative task.

In order to achieve this as smoothly as possible please can you.

  • Amend your standing order putting it down to £1 by 1st April 2020

Of course you can suspend your standing order – but please let us know if you choose to do this.

By putting it down to £1 it is much easier for the club to manage our accounts, and easier for you to restart once we are up and running again.

Just to be clear all regular payments are paid into the club account by you are Standing Orders, not Direct Debits. Standing orders cannot be stopped, or amended by the club – you have full control, the club has none.

The club does not hold any members bank details. Therefore, if you require a refund, please email Master Naraine at

  • account name
  • account number
  • sort code
  • amount of refund required, and a breakdown of what it is for. E.g., £30 competition entry fee.
